About the Program
MiDA Advisors served as the implementing partner for the inaugural Women Empowerment Mentoring and Incubation (WE>MI) Fund Manager Program funded by the U.S. government investment initiatives with the Southern African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (SAVCA) as the local programming partner.
WE>MI is a 13-month mentoring and incubation initiative that seeks to increase the number of investable women-owned and women-managed fund managers in Southern African by providing necessary technical assistance and investment facility support to mobilize local and international investments to participating funds.
WE>MI will support the successful development, growth, and long-term sustainability of women-owned and women-managed fund managers in the Southern African investments industry with the inaugural class of women. These participants will receive skill development, mentorship support, and connections to resource partners and ultimately be prepared to connect with potential investors in the U.S., Africa, and globally.
WE>MI’s success is based on strong partnerships with resource partners and fundraising sponsors that will prioritize gender inclusion and equity in the investments industry.
