Salim Kabbaj Independent Advisor
Salim Kabbaj is an Independent Advisor and the Morocco Coordinator for MiDA Advisors. He is a seasoned professional with extensive experience working across various financial markets spanning Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He spent over a decade working in Project & Structured Finance with Bank of Africa (UK) in London and with Qatar National Bank in Doha. At BoA UK, he headed the bank’s activity in sub-Saharan Africa, executing deals across various sectors including sovereigns, commodities, utilities, financial institutions, and telecoms. During his tenure with QNB, he led strategic deals in excess of US$10 billion in Europe and the Middle East, spanning real estate, sovereigns, financial institutions, shipping, UHNWIs, and retail. Salim also worked in Debt Capital Markets (origination & liability management) with JPMorgan Chase in London, covering investment-grade issuers, and with the Central Bank of Morocco, focusing on USD Treasury placements. Outside of banking, he headed a Family Office in Doha, Qatar, overseeing a real estate portfolio comprising residential, commercial, and retail assets with a value in excess of US$1 billion. Salim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Finance and an MBA in Finance from American University in Washington, D.C.
